Michael Brown is a retired Hollywood film editor who has won 3 Emmy Awards, an ACE Eddie Award, plus 8 other nominations, as well a Career Achievement Award as a film editor. He has many other nominations, 9, and is a member of the American Cinema Editors Guild, the Writers Guild of America, and the Directors Guild of America. He’s directed 2ndunit on major TV mini-series in the US and Europe. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He’s sold numerous TV scripts to NBC, ABC, and CBS. His first novel, ‘William & Lucy’, won the ‘2012 Global eBook Award for Best Historical Novel of the Year.’ (Era 1500-1940). His historical family saga, ‘The Girl Who Was Me Is Gone’, was published in March 2020 by Penmore Press. The sequel, ‘In the Company of Savages’, his 5th novel, was published in July 2022. He’s had two other novels published, ‘The Girl from Fisher Island’, a suspense novel, and “Loving you is Crazy’, a romantic comedy. His 6th novel, ‘My Name is B-1259’. It is the story of Elias Feinzilberg, a Holocaust survivor of 9 concentration camps during WW 2. It’s a fascinating story of a very special man, who recently passed at the age of 104. His 7th novel, ‘The Passions of Johann Gutenberg.’ Will be published in April, 2025.
