** Beginning with a diary for my 12th birthday I kept writing, first for newspapers and magazines then novels. For my years in journalism so deeply ingrained I merge fact with my fiction plots...can't help myself. It's so much more work but oh so much more fun! 

From an American mom married to a Canadian dad I have dual Canadian-U.S. citizenship. Then - remarried to a business-risk-taker and curious-explorer - I've traveled across North America and Europe. That opportunity for me as a writer allows me to place my [confused, struggling, grieving, witty, triumphant] characters in familiar settings. And, like hundreds of other authors, I write because I can't-not-write... I seek never to waste a reader's lunch break or evening, weekend or holiday. And because I admired authors with unique plots, then - naturally intrigue is what I strive for too - planting twists for readers with endings not typically expected.
